Kleedorf

This heavily eroded KGA close to KGA Puch with upto 107m diameter had only one entrance towards south-east still clearly visible in the magnetic data. This entrance allows astronomical and topographical interpretation: we could confirm our previous result that, standing in the KGA centre, the sun would have been seen rising in the southeastern entrance on dates exactly between winter solstice and the equinoxes. But now, with consideration of the terrain, it is again obvious that this entrance lies convincingly close to the contour line of the terrain, which severely reduces the argument in support of a calendrical meaning to this sunrise direction or ritual observation, also because it could not be confirmed at enough sites.
